The final Chef in our Spring 2023 collab series is Christina Nguyen of Hai Hai and Hola Arepa, and she is bringing some serious heat! 🔥
Two weeks ago we got together at Hai Hai and Christina made a couple fillings with some classic Southeast Asian flavors that were amazing. And then, as we were about to leave she says, “we could also try to do our Beef Rendang in a dumpling?” So we all headed back into her kitchen where Christina whipped something up, and we were all FLOORED. This filling had everything: chunks of slowly stewed beef, a million spices that were not only balanced, but hit your entire palate, and some heat at the end that kept you coming back for more. And to top it off, the paired sauce of coconut milk and lime and other aromatics was an absolutely perfect compliment.
Filling is made with slow cooked beef, lemongrass, warm spices & a coconut curry.
